Nothing goes better with a big bowl of soup than homemade dumplings.

  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup sourdough starter
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ⅓ cup milk
  • 2 Tbsp canola oil
  1. In a large bowl combine all ingredients.
  2. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto hot, bubbling broth or soup.
  3. Cover, reduce heat to medium-low, and let dumplings steam until done, about 15 minutes.
